We have adopted the following carbon reduction targets to continue our progress to achieving Net Zero. Verian Group UK Limited is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050.

  • In 2026 (H1), Verian Group UK Limited will complete a business wide global strategy piece to set out specific ways in which we can reduce emissions from all scopes.
  • To continue to purchase all electricity from REGO backed green tariff sources.
  • To ensure that environmental performance is considered in future office specifications.
  • To enhance the quality of our environmental data.

1.5 Carbon Reduction Projects

1.5.1 Completed Carbon Reduction Initiatives

The following environmental management measures and projects have been completed since 2024 .

  • Reduced upstream transportation and distribution emissions by moving to online methodologies where possible.
  • Where in person research is required, interviewers journeys are being planned internally so the most efficient routes are taken.
  • Created new policies, such as Single-Use Plastic Policy to minimise the use of single-use plastics and the Sustainable Travel Policy to help reduce emissions from travel, such as by introducing a travel hierarchy to reduce unnecessary trips, where possible.
  • Amendment of existing policies such as the
    • Employee Code of Conduct that has a Social and Environmental Protection section
    • Travel Policy which aims to encourage employees to make sustainable decisions, such as promoting online meetings over travel, which focus on avoiding air travel, where possible.
  • We have cooperated with our landlord to improve our Building Management System (BMS) to reduce our gas usage across the year.
  • Carbon literacy training has been taken by a small proportion of the company as a pilot. The training was successful and further training is being planned for more employees in H1 2026.

1.5.2 Future Carbon Reduction Initiatives

In the future we intend to implement further measures such as:

  • Improve knowledge of the suppliers that Verian are using to understand their environmental credentials.
  • Engage with our landlords to identify opportunities to reduce the energy consumption of our offices.
  • Continue to review and amend company policies where needed that will promote reducing emissions.
  • Expand training accessibility and knowledge sharing on sustainability topics across the company. For instance, mandating sustainability courses for employees and having ‘experts’ in areas of sustainability across teams.
  • Commit to a monitoring and governance process to improve data collection and reporting accuracy.
