I have been with Verian for about one year now and it was my first role in public policy consulting out of university. Being at Verian has allowed me to work with very supportive team members who have taught me so much about this field. My role at Verian allows me to work on a variety of projects for the public sector institutions. From projects related to communication to projects related to migration, every day here brings new challenges which makes it a very interesting role to kickstart my career in this field.

I thrive in my position at Verian for several key reasons. The job offers highly varied tasks and the opportunity to work with many different clients, providing a stimulating and ever-changing work environment. I enjoy a great deal of freedom and independence, allowing me to take ownership of my projects. I think the unique and exciting challenges I face here are unparalleled and can't be found elsewhere. I've become a trusted advisor at a very high level in numerous organizations, a role that I find both rewarding and fulfilling.
Above all, the positive work environment at Verian, with colleagues who emphasize collaboration and our collective success as a team, makes my work here not just a job, but a passion.
Tiasha Martin
Senior Business Management Lead
United Kingdom
I have always been passionate about the development of public policies. I started my career within the Civil Service and joined Verian almost two years ago. As a Senior Business Management Lead, my role focuses on the delivery of gold standard research to our clients and shaping and driving strategy.
It is important that our contributions to solving social issues are of the highest quality and this role encourages me to think strategically on a daily basis – no two days are the same! Diversity of thought is one of Verian’s greatest assets and I am proud to be collaborating with experts from different fields and geographies to solve some of society’s most pressing issues.
Jordan Ogilvy Lapish
Senior Qualitative and Cultural Insights Specialist
New Zealand
Ngāti Raukawa, Ngāti Hinerangi, Te Rarawa descent
I’ve been with Verian for about a year now. This was my first ‘proper’ role after finishing up my university studies, and I’ve grown so much as a researcher already. I love that working for Verian enables tangible positive change within New Zealand society – especially ensuring indigenous voices and perspectives are heard by policymakers.
As a Senior Qualitative and Cultural Insights Specialist, my role is to ensure our research processes engage with Māori in a culturally safe manner, and overlay key cultural concepts during the analysis and reporting phase. I feel proud to know I am contributing to the wellbeing of my people through ensuring our clients understand Māori diverse realities and experiences. I also love meeting such a broad range of New Zealanders through qualitative fieldwork!
Jovel Tan
Public Perceptions and Communications
Director
Singapore
I lead the Public Perceptions and Communications team over in (mostly) sunny Singapore. I’ve worked across multiple sectors in my 20+ years as a researcher, but by far the most meaningful role has been with Verian. Because by helping governments and social agencies better resonate with the public through effective communications and engagements, we help give good policies and intentions a chance to work, and in our own way, contribute to driving positive change around us.
Sophie Tschersich
Senior Project Manager
Germany
I started working at Verian just over nine years ago, when I started my two-and-a-half-year apprenticeship as a specialist in market and social research. And I’ve been here ever since as my learning journey has never stopped – I'm always learning new things as my role is highly varied across multiple projects and data management.
I now focus on structuring and developing processes with internal and external partners, something I would not have anticipated nine years ago. My career development within the business has been supported at every stage, and the fact that I ‘only’ have a professional degree and not an academic one, has never been a barrier to me being able to progress. I am pleased that I can contribute different interests and skills to various exciting projects in my role and that my work will remain varied in the future.
