The October Political Index from Verian (formerly Kantar Public) on behalf of Berlingske has been published.
Camilla Kann Fjeldsøe, director of Verian in Denmark and responsible for our political research, commented on the latest findings in the index:
"The most remarkable thing is that Venstre has the lowest voter support since December 1983, when Poul Schlüter was prime minister in a left-leaning government. The Social Democrats are also significantly below where they were at the time of the election results, which means that the three governing parties currently have 73 mandates against the 89 they had at the election."
In relation to the election, SF (+5.2 percentage points) and Liberal Alliance (+3.3) have the largest increase in voters, while the Social Democrats (-5.3) and Venstre (-3.6) see the largest declines in support.
