About the study

The ASEAN Survey on International Cooperation is an independent regional study exploring how international partners are perceived across Southeast Asia. Conducted by Verian, a global research agency, the survey aims to build a stronger understanding of the factors that shape international cooperation and collaboration within the region. Findings will provide a regional snapshot of how engagement is viewed across the 11 ASEAN Member States, offering insights that can inform future dialogue and partnership initiatives.

Study objectives

This survey seeks to:

  • Understand perceptions of international partnerships and cooperation across ASEAN.
  • Identify areas of value - where engagement and support are seen as most beneficial.
  • Highlight opportunities for future collaboration across key policy areas.
  • Support evidence-based dialogue by sharing regional insights to inform future initiatives.

Who can take part

We invite professionals working in or connected to international cooperation, including those from:

  • Government and diplomacy
  • Academia and think tanks
  • Civil society and NGOs
  • Media and communications
  • Business and trade associations

Participation takes 10–15 minutes, and respondents will receive a USD $10 e-gift card as a thank you for their time.
