    Hi, I'm Ben and I'm the sponsor of the Social Research Apprenticeship here at Verian.

    There's never been a better time to pursue a career in social research. Social researchers work on some of the most complex problems facing society, from inequality through to transport planning, we provide the evidence that policymakers need to make good quality decisions that affect all of us in our day-to-day lives.

    Hi, my name is Ra'ana and I'm one of the Social Research degree apprentices here at Verian. So the life of the Social Research apprentice is varied. We do so many different things on day-to-day basis and no day is the same. We work on so many different projects ranging from crime to the NHS and I'm also currently working on one of the largest longitudinal studies in the world called Understanding Society. So that's been really great.

    Hi, I'm Kelly and I've been a Social Research apprentice here at Verian for almost six months now. Even though I've only been here for a short amount of time, I've tried so many different things across so many different projects and it's been great. The work also ties in really nicely before we're studying at university, so we get the best of both worlds, the theory and the practical, and that's what I think it takes to be a Social Research apprentice. Balancing both of those things can be really difficult, so if you think you can do that then you're good to go.

    To be a Social Research apprentice you have to be really passionate about making a difference and making change because the work we do really does have an impact on people's day-to-day lives.
