Exploring the implementation of trauma informed approaches and how this relates to Research Ethics Frameworks
Join our upcoming webinar to discuss what Trauma Informed Research looks like in practice and learn from Verian’s experience exploring these approaches in context of our wider ethical framework.
Drawing on our own experiences of carrying out research on disability benefits, domestic abuse and children’s social care, we’ll consider where trauma informed approaches sit in a wider research ethics framework (GSR, MRS and SRA as well as research standards outlined in the Magenta Book), and the relative benefits and challenges of the approach.
The session is intended as an open discussion, an opportunity to share experiences and reflections across a wide range of stakeholders. Attendees will come away with some practical examples of how to apply good ethics to research practice and a view on whether a different approach is needed to be Trauma Informed.
